Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has become the fastest selling game of 2019 in under a week. The game was likely to do exceptionally well when it was announced earlier this week that UK Sales surpassed Black Ops 4 by 39% in it’s opening days. Activision has announced that Modern Warfare has earned more than $600 million in it’s first 3 days surpassing last year’s Black Ops 4 which made $500 million in it’s opening days.
In a press release from Activision they’ve announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has earned more in its first three days than any other COD game this generation. It was also the biggest Digital opening in Activision History and the biggest Digital opening in it’s first three days of release in Playstation history.
The only other games to surpass Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in terms of opening day sales are Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, both from Rockstar Games.
