
Sony is definitely starting to go completely in with regards to the next generation. They’ve just announced the PlayStation 5 and its Holiday 2020 release and Guerrilla Games Co-Founder Hermen Hulst taking over responsibilities of PlayStation Worldwide Studios.
The news doesn’t stop there as Sony announced there will be a development team in Malaysia opening in May 2020. The Studio will provide art and animation to the games of Worldwide Studios. With the announcement, there were multiple statements released by Malaysia Ministers and the PlayStation President and CEO.

With this establishment, Malaysia will be working closely with Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios to create more opportunities for the local and regional games industry,” said YB Gobind Singh Deo. “Together, we will work to uplift creative talents in Malaysia and even establish a partnership with our local educational partners. This is to ensure that accelerated growth of the industry in our country will be supported.

These announcements over the past couple of months have been telling that Sony is ready to begin their stretch to the launch of the PlayStation 5.
