The Uncharted Movie announced years ago has seemingly been in development hell for a while now. The Movie has gone through multiple directors with their current one being Travis Knight, the director of Bumblebee.
As of now certain aspects of the Movie have been decided such the Director, the Actor for Nathan Drake being Tom Holland, and the release date of December 18th, 2020. It also seems that the role of Sully is pretty much decided at this point.
Mark Wahlberg is reportedly in the final stages to land the role of Sully, Nathan Drake’s right-hand man. This is interesting for the fact that Wahlberg was signed on to play Nathan Drake almost a decade ago before the film went through its stages.
Now more than ever it seems as though things are coming in place for the Uncharted Movie. The film will be produced by PlayStation Productions adjacent with Atlas Entertainment’s Chuck Roven and Alex Gartner. Although anything can happen in development, it seems as though this film might actually get filmed.
