Sony has been relatively quiet on PlayStation 5 news ever since its PlayStation 5 showcase event in June. There was recent news for peripherals & accessories compatible for PlayStation 5 but other than that, there’s been nothing of note.
While we’re still probably a couple of weeks off from big PlayStation 5 news, that doesn’t mean other PlayStation news isn’t upcoming. Sony has recently announced a State of Play broadcast on August 6th at 1:00pm PT/4:00pm ET.
As you can see from their announcement above there will be NO big PlayStation 5 news but there will be news on third-party/indie PS5 games from the showcase in June and upcoming PS4 & PSVR titles.
While we’ll still be waiting for pricing and a release date, it looks like Sony will reveal updates on promising titles such as Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
