Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and as always being published by Activision. Set in the early 1980s, Black Ops Cold War, drops players into the depth of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical universe in a gripping experience where nothing is as it seems.
Black Ops Cold War picks up right after the original, dropping players into a conspiracy-filled thrill ride set in the 1980s. Fighting alongside fan favorite-characters like Woods, Mason and Hudson, players will battle to uncover the truth. Everything isn’t what it seems, as players choices help shape the outcome of the narrative.
Players encounter historic figures and learn hard truths as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, Soviet-era Moscow, and more. As elite operatives, players attempt to stop a plot decades in the making as they follow the trail of a shadowy figure named Perseus, who is on a mission to destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history.
In the campaign, a character creator was announced that will impact gameplay. There will be dialogue options and extra missions dependant on how you play.

A multiplayer gameplay reveal is set to be revealed on September 9th and speaking of multiplayer, let’s talk about what we know so far. In a statement from Activision themselves “In addition to the story campaign, Black Ops Cold War will bring an arsenal of Cold War weapons and equipment into the next generation of Black Ops Multiplayer combat, and an all-new co-operative gameplay experience with Zombies.”
There will be a Battle Pass which I’m sure everyone expected, there will also be a stream of free post-launch content with new maps and modes. The Zombies mode has been announced to have a schedule of in-game community events. Also on a side note for Call of Duty: Warzone, Black Ops Cold War will share post-launch content with Warzone and will also share progression features between both games, so no worries for frequent Warzone players there. Anyone who pre-orders select digital versions of Cold War will get early access to Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Open Beta.

Last but not least, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is set for release on November 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $59.99. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are scheduled for Holiday 2020 which is the time in which both consoles are set to release for the price tag of $69.99.
There’s a multitude of information on pre-order extras, bundle options, and more for each edition of Cold War that you can read here. The countdown towards Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is on and it just so happens to release in a busy month along with Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and is rumored to be the launch month for both next-gen consoles, November is going to be packed month in the gaming industry, no doubts about it.
