Marvel’s Avengers released just last month on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. While I enjoyed the game for its story and gameplay, it’s not hard to find the abundant amount of issues the game had from launch.
From the loot game to the bugs and glitches to the way this game handles its live service elements, Marvel’s Avengers is a good game that could be so much more if not for so many other aspects. Many were wondering if the name of this game would be enough to keep it relevant until big content drops came but unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Marvel’s Avengers has started dipping below 1,000 players on steam just a month after its release. Matchmaking, in general, was already a bit wonky but that’s been made more evident the lower the player count goes.
One has to wonder if content updates and adding new Avengers such as Hawkeye and Spider-Man, later on, will lead more people to come back to Marvel’s Avengers. I still feel this game has potential in its current state but Crystal Dynamics will have to work hard to get there.
