IO Interactive is best known for their work on the Hitman series, it seems as though after the release of Hitman 3 in January 2021, IO is shifting their direction in an entirely new franchise.
Sometime yesterday, IO Interactive announced that a project reveal would be coming today and that project reveal turned out to be none other than James Bond. The announcement came in the form of a new section on their website and a teaser trailer which you can view below.
The game is called Project 007 which was noted to be a working title and currently has no release date set. The game will be an origin story for James Bond and will take you through the journey of earning his 00 status.
IO Interactive also made note that they are currently seeking out talent to help craft this experience. It’ll definitely be a while before we hear anything new on this title but at least we know IO will be keeping busy for a while.
