After a long 7+ years after the reveal trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, the game has finally been released worldwide. It is definitely up there with the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of highly anticipated games. Whether the games lived up to the hype is up for you to decide.
Cyberpunk was definitely going to be a success in terms of sales but the early info from CD Projekt Red themselves is something I don’t think many expected.
Cyberpunk 2077 garnered over 8 million pre-orders with 74% of those pre-orders being digital.
The early stats for this game are insane and with this just being pre-order info, who knows what the overall sales will be when they’re released.
Cyberpunk 2077 has had its fair share of discussion up to release with the initial review roll-out restrictions and the Epileptic controversy pointed out by Liana Ruppert from Game Informer. To say it shortly, Cyberpunk 2077 hasn’t been defunct from a lot of debate over certain decisions. One thing is for sure, this game is going to be a big topic for a while.
