The original Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was released back in October of 2003. Over a decade later, Ubisoft is bringing the game back. At a Ubisoft Forward showcase in September of 2020, the remake for The Sands of Time was officially announced.
To put it simply, the reaction to the reveal trailer wasn’t met with the best response. The remake had already been delayed once from January of 2021 to March of 2021. It looks like Ubisoft feels the game needs more time as the development team has announced that the game has been delayed indefinitely. The announcement was made on Twitter with the team stating that “extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original”.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at an unknown release date.
