Splatoon has proved to be an original IP that has paid off completely for Nintendo. The original release and its sequel have received acclaim from fans and critics alike over the years. It has proved to be a success in terms of sales as well. In short, Splatoon wouldn’t have been supported for as long as it has if it wasn’t a strong title.
At today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo saved what they felt was their biggest announcement for last. Nintendo has officially announced that Splatoon 3 is on the way with an official announcement trailer.
Nintendo has released a synopsis explaining the third installment of this franchise.
In the wake of chaos, enter the sun scorched Splatlands and the new city, Splatsville, inhabited by battle-hardened Inklings and Octolings. New weapons, moves, and more await, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates in the future.
