Resident Evil Village has been a highly anticipated release ever since it was revealed at the PlayStation 5 reveal event in June of 2020. If initial anticipation is any indication, this installment of Resident Evil has the potential to be one of if not the biggest launch in the franchise.
A few months ago, a demo was released for Resident Evil Village exclusively for the PlayStation 5 but it was mostly a visual showcase for the most part with a big reveal of Lady Dimitrescu at the end.
IGN was given exclusive access to gameplay for Resident Evil Village that showcases more gameplay mechanics such as combat and gunplay.
Resident Evil Village is set for release on May 7, 2021, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
