PlayStation 5 Has Officially Sold 10 Million Units Globally

It’s been 8 months since the release of the PlayStation 5 and for all intents and purposes, the console has been a huge success. Since launch, the console has been home to quality console exclusives such as Demon’s Souls, Returnal, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and there’s still tons more on the way such as Deathloop (for a year) and Gran Turismo 7.

The software has been thriving and after today’s recent announcement, it’s clear that the actual hardware is as well. PlayStation 5 has officially sold 10 Million Units Globally and is the fastest-selling console in SIE history. The official announcement was released on the PlayStation Blog.

This is a massive milestone for Sony as a whole and this all while there’s still a chip shortage going on. People are still trying to get PS5 consoles and that demand isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
