MLB The Show 21 Coming To Xbox Game Pass on Day 1

It was announced earlier this year that MLB would no longer be an exclusive franchise for PlayStation like it has been the past few years. The next installment of MLB The Show will not only release on PlayStation platforms but on Xbox as well.

Xbox is always adding new things to Xbox Game Pass and their announcement they dropped today gives that message more validity. Xbox has officially announced that MLB The Show 21 will be available on Xbox Game Pass on Day 1 of the games’ release.

In an Xbox Wire post, MLB Senior Vice President of Games & VR, Jamie Leece went into more details on the announcement.

We’re delighted to announce that MLB The Show 21 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one and will be available on April 20 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as on Android phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for Ultimate membersBoth MLB The Show 21 Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S Standard Editions will be included with Xbox Game Pass so members will be able to play the best version of the game regardless of which console they’re on. And with cross-platform play and progress, you can play against others online, and earn and use content across the platform and generation you choose.

This will greatly increase the number of people who will play MLB The Show 21. It also might persuade a lot of people to shift their MLB play over to Xbox if they previously preferred PlayStation. It’s an interesting move, to say the least.

MLB The Show 21 will release on April 20, 2021 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
