Microsoft Acquires Activision Blizzard For A Reported $70 Billion

Microsoft just can’t help itself when it comes to these industry-shaking moves. Last year, Microsoft acquired Bethesda for a reported 7.5 billion and it shook the gaming industry. We all thought we wouldn’t see an acquisition of that magnitude for a while but it turns out it only took a little over a year for that to change.

Microsoft is acquiring Activision Blizzard for a reported 70 billion dollars. Activision Blizzard is the owner of IPs such as Call of Duty, Overwatch, & Diablo.

Just like the Bethesda acquisition, absolutely no one saw this coming from Microsoft. This acquisition is coming after many stories over the past year of sexual misconduct and mistreatment over at Activision Blizzard.

What’s next after this, who knows, but Microsoft just shook up the gaming world in a gargantuan way.
