We haven’t had a new installment in the WWE 2K series ever since the release of WWE 2K20 in 2019. WWE 2K22 was first teased at Wrestlemania 37 in a 30-second video with the tagline “It Hits Different”.
Since then, we’ve learned that WWE 2K22 will feature a redesigned gameplay engine and new controls. Fans of the older Smackdown vs Raw games will be pleased to hear that MyGM mode will make a return. Along with MyGM, two new modes in MyRISE and MyFACTION will make a debut for the WWE game franchise.
Lastly, we finally have our answer when we’ll be able to play WWE 2K22 and who will grace the cover. WWE 2K22 will release on March 11, 2022, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, & PC with the cover star being none other than Rey Mysterio.
