A couple of weeks ago Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was officially announced. The game is a prequel and is set 100 years before the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This title will let you experience firsthand the events of Calamity Ganon before Link’s 100-year slumber.
The announcement trailer was released just a few short weeks ago and we’ve just gotten a multitude of new footage in the form of a trailer and gameplay demo. At the Tokyo Games Show this year, Nintendo showcased a new trailer for Hyrule Warriors that showcased more of the world pre Calamity Ganon, the four champions, and gave us a look at a young Impa.
Nintendo also showcased a 13-minute gameplay demo that can be viewed below (Credit to IGN). Note that the entire demo is with Japanese voice-over and text.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is definitely one of the most beloved games of the last decade. With a sequel on the way in the coming years, a prequel in between is going to excite fans of the series even more.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is set for release on November 20th, 2020 on the Nintendo Switch.
